There are very few and rare risks to your mole removal treatments. For context, we treat thousands of mole removal patients every single year, and approximately less than 1% of patients have adverse reactions. Our physicians are highly trained surgeons with years of medical experience who provide the very best medical care. You are safe with us! For your knowledge, there can be some negative side effects which would include: bleeding, scarring such as keloids, infections, nerve damage (very, very rare) and/or recurrence of the mole cells. If anything does happen, our medical team will support you then entire way until all your problems are resolved positively. Please keep in mind that light bleeding at the treated area is normal and should not be a cause for concern. Simply put light pressure on the treated area with a clean tissue paper for 5-10 minutes until bleeding subsides. Then, you can reapply a bandage. Sometimes, patients may experience some slight pain after the procedure and may also take over the counter pain medications. This pain should go away within a few hours. If your treated area starts to feel hot to touch, or there is extreme redness or swelling, then you should contact our office immediately. However, most of the time you will have no complications and leave a happy, healthy patient!
